About Adams Legacy Standards

Introduction

Adams Legacy Standards was founded to provide practical food safety and quality compliance support for food manufacturers across Ontario.

With more than a decade of hands-on experience working directly within manufacturing environments,

the focus has always been on building systems that function effectively in real operations, not just on paper.

From production floor roles to senior quality assurance leadership positions, this experience provides a unique perspective on how food safety systems must integrate with daily operations to remain sustainable and effective.

Professional Background

Scott Adams brings more than a decade of industry experience across multiple areas of manufacturing operations and quality assurance.

His career began working directly on the production floor before transitioning into quality roles, including Quality Assurance Technician II, Senior QA Technician, and Quality Management Lead.

This progression through operational and leadership positions provides a well-rounded understanding of both the technical and human elements required to maintain effective food safety programs.

Leadership & System Development

In a previous leadership role as Quality Management Lead, Scott led the development and implementation of a comprehensive Quality Management System across two manufacturing facilities in separate provinces for Canada’s largest fiberglass pool manufacturer.

This project involved building the organization’s first formalized quality management framework, implementing standardized processes, and aligning operational teams to support long-term system sustainability.

The experience reinforced the importance of designing systems that employees understand, support, and maintain over time.

Certifications & Technical Expertise

Scott holds certification as a Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) and has extensive experience supporting HACCP-based food safety programs.

His consulting approach combines regulatory knowledge, operational experience, and practical implementation strategies designed specifically for manufacturing environments.

He also holds two Associate Degrees in Bio-Sciences, strengthening his understanding of food safety and the science behind it.

Philosophy

Effective food safety systems are not sustained through documentation alone.

Long-term success depends on the engagement and understanding of the people responsible for implementing those systems every day.

Adams Legacy Standards focuses on building programs that employees can understand, leadership can support, and organizations can maintain with confidence over the long term.

Adams Legacy Standards supports food manufacturers across Ontario by helping organizations build, improve, and sustain practical food safety and quality systems.

The objective is simple: develop standards that protect product quality, support regulatory compliance, and become a lasting part of the organization’s operational culture.
